Marlton Goats Preview

Last year, captain Louie Rossano lead the Goats to a playoff birth in the franchises first season in the EBHL. The Goats defeated the Flamingos in the first round of the playoffs, but were taken down by the Raw Dawgz in two games in the second round. Rossano has made several offseason acquisitions to give the Goats the legs to make a deeper run into the playoffs.

The Goats signed six players from the former EBHL Owls, who ceased operations at the end of the 2017 season. John Jasinski and Mat Tarzy reunite on defense to create the tallest defensive pair the EBHL has seen since 2016, when Jasinski and Tarzy were paired up on the Owls. The Beck brothers (who are NOT identical triplets) look to add skill, tattoos, and physicality to a Goats offense that had zero tattoos in 2018.

Co-commissioner TJ Janus, along with USA U20 forwards Nick Cataldo and Bryce Long will be the offensive masterminds for the Goats. The Goats finished 7th out of 8 teams in 2018 in goals scored, a number which needs to improve in order to make a deeper run. Forward Brian Stickney has seen his offensive numbers increase in all 4 EBHL seasons he has played in and looks to continue that trend.

The Goats are a deep team. They may not have the A-level talent that other teams have, but the entire roster can play at a high level. Goaltender Dylan Poris looks to showcase his skill set on the EBHL stage and lead a deep team into the playoffs. Captain Louie Rossano expects greatness, and he has the capability to get that from his players. Expect the Goats to compete night in and night out.
