Week 8 Results

Sunday June 23


7:00pm - Evesham Tortugas 8, Bellmawr Hawks 6


The Hawks erased a 5 goal deficit to tie the game at 6 in the 3rd, but a Joe Trapani snipe on the PP gave the Tortugas enough to hold off for the win. Aaron Huffnagle had a hat-trick and Steve Osherow had 2 goals for the Tortugas.


8:00pm - New Jersey Force 6, South Jersey Majestic 0


The Force took down Majestic 6-0 on Sunday night. Dan Cohen had 21 saves for his 1st shutout to go along with his 2nd assist of the year. Shaun Dowdy had a five pts to help the Force to a needed win, keeping their playoff hopes alive.


9:00pm - Marlton Goats 8, Marlton Dust Bunnies 1


The Goats nearly doubled their season goal in their Week 8 win, taking down the Dust Bunnies by a score of 8-1. The Goats can make the playoffs if they win out and a couple teams ahead of them lose out to end the season.


Monday June 24


7:30pm - Lakeland Caribou 3, South Jersey Best Friends 2


The BFFs could not sneak out a win on fan appreciation night, losing to the Caribou 3-2. Mike Malloy scored a goal late in the 2nd period to put the Caribou ahead. The Caribou will clinch a bye if they can win their next two games.


8:30pm - Marlton Raw Dawgz 6, Gloucester Twp Sloths 4


Sloth Nation jumped out to a 2-0 lead early but the Raw Dawgz fought back to win 6-4. Grizzled vet Andrew Mucerino’s 4 points lead the way for the Raw Dawgz, who can earn a 1st round bye with wins versus the Dust Bunnies and Tortugas.
